Halloween Masquerade for Detroit Area Kids

 

 

Detroit, MI October 14, 2009, Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News & Bert’s Warehouse Theatre announces its First Annual Halloween Masquerade on Thursday, October 29, 2009 between 6:00 p.m. & 10:00 p.m. at Bert’s Warehouse Theatre for over 2000 Detroit area children. FREE for kids under 12 years and (kids) costume, a must.

 

 

 

Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News (Detroit EM News) & Bert’s Warehouse Theatre has joined forces to promote social wellness during the Pre Angel’s Night festivities. Adrianne Reynolds, Editor in chief states, “Today, more than ever before in our lives, the economy continues to play a significant role in social wellness. Help us take away some of the stress and impact positive change by seeding into our efforts to ensure kids, in attendance, have a fun filled memorable time.”

 

 

 

We’re seeking decorations, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and prayers. All are welcomed to attend two production meetings scheduled for Monday, October 19 & Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Bert’s Warehouse.

DPS Golightly Career & Technical Center's - Mass Media Students Achieve Academic Success

 

Detroit, MI, Monday, March 16, 2009 – Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News announces the continued success of Golightly Career & Technical Centers Mass Media Department and Radio/TV Broadcast students.

 

For over 12 years, Golightly Career & Technical Center has continued to achieve placement at the "Annual Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation Awards" as demonstrated Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

 

The "2009 Michigan High School and College Broadcasting Awards" availed placement for ten out of 16 categories represented during the presentation.

DETROIT, Michigan, May 30, 2008, The DETROIT Entertainers & Musicians News (Detroit EM News), a FREE bimonthly publication created by local artists to be a positive reflection of Detroit’s entertainment industry and it’s surrounding communities is celebrating it’s second year and would like to announce Bill Meyer, pianist for “SBH Trio” has been named contributive writer for Detroit EM News.

 

In his post, he will be responsible for writing editorials and provide his personal opinion on insights and information regarding Jazz and Blues in the Detroit entertainment arena and beyond.

Our guest speaker is Robert Bobb, Emergency Financial Manager for Detroit Public Schools on Thursday, October 29, 2009 @ 8:45 p.m. at Bert’s Warehouse Theater, 2739 Russell Street in the Eastern Market district.

Robert Bobb, an expert on issues facing urban government in the realms of education, economic development, community and neighborhood development will briefly share benefits of President Obama’s Stimulus Bond for Proposal S which is available to citizens of the City of Detroit and its proposed intentions.

With this in mind, Detroit EM News remains neutral in this matter and request that no questionsbe directed to Robert Bobb during his speech.
